Across the Storybridge—Summer Reading sure was fun! Now it’s time for back-to-school programming…..The last two weeks of August come by the library after school (Monday, Wednesday, Fridays)l for Raise A Reader action. We’ll be exploring puppet shows, skits and even music! Libraries know how to make reading fun and interesting to even reluctant readers. Know a budding actor or maybe you want to let a puppet to the performing? Or learn to write a play/puppet show–maybe musical lyrics are your gift??? And of course we’ll have make it and take it crafts for those that just want to come hang out and see what new books the library has.

The new room for young people is almost complete! It can be used now and is a safe place for kids to relax and read…or play a video game or watch a dvd.
Have you seen the new ‘Teen Room’? Materials for junior level and young adult readers have been moved to their own room. This is a safe and inviting place for kids to ‘hang-out’. The Teen Advisor Board (T.A.B) will be meeting in the future to help map out plans for activities and help in selecting materials!
